Somethings we never thought of twice before we do...like for e.g. sensing, smelling, touching....we being able to hold a pen and it din even take a day for us to learn that.
all these are hard for those less fortunate people. no my blog is not turning into some charity kinda thing but its juz that my class went to Rainbow Centre last tuesday and the feeling when i get to see these kids is not just something you normally feel when you see it on a charity show.
i felt like such an idiot and stupid to complain about things and juz taking things for granted.
for these kids, they take one whole year to learn how to hold a pen.......its that hard for them
the feeling i get is not juz like normal, sure, when i see them on charity shows on tv, i'll feel bad for a while but after half an hour i'll forget all abt it and be happy again.
but this time, seeing them with my own eyes, it felt really overwhelming and touching that they are trying really hard and giving their best to do somethings we dun take a second to do.
there i saw alot of normal looking from outside kids, cheerful kids who treated us like some long time friends, cute kids, friendly kids and caring kinds.
i have the sudden urge to juz say to the guide, 'i want to be a volunteer here.' i really want to and during holidays, when i'm free, i really want to try it.
seeing from it, its not that easy and u must have the patient but i should try rite, coz thats something i want to do and contribute as a person living in this world.
visiting there is not just for project, its like a life lesson and made me think back of how i've been.....
i really love it that i have a chance to visit the center, it helped alot on my class and me. well for my class it was real fun to go out on our own, its like a class outing.
we had lunch together, we took train there together, and we laughed like all of us were in the same class since we started poly. i guess thats you get from having to change alot of classes in 2 years.
and one incident really shocked me and geraldine there, well so, fifi, me and geraldine were sitting side by sides
fifi fall asleep on my shoulder and she was really soundly asleep that i din wake her up even my body is unbalanced and damn unglam, no serious, the auntie in front of me was looking at me and smiling!!!
i juz let her do this to me coz she like minho too! lol no....i am like that to every1, meyi always fell sleep on my shoulder whenever we take long bus rides.
so niways, back to e point. so to make it worse, geraldine started to lean on my shoulder too, she was starting to fall asleep but i din noe what one of us said that stared the laughter...muz be something funny, no idea whats that.
maybe we were attracting too much attention from nearby people with our laughter, that this one tourist group talked to us.
first she was smiling at us and looking, then i thought, maybe she thinks we are lesbians, well since geraldine is leaning on my shoulder and holding my hands and we seem damn happy.
Lady: Hi, are you 2 singaporeans?
Us: yea.
Lady: do u speak english? (ehhhh...duhh...are we talking in alien language juz now?)
Us: yes
Lady: this is my son, hes attending sch here soon, you want to exchange email?
Us: *smiles* ehhhhhhhh.....
so we faster changed the subject and asked them where they are from and where they are going, Thank god their station was near......so they got off.
and we were left speechless and shocked, not being able to access what juz happened...i mean, tell me, in this era, which mother try to match her son up with some stranger gals that she sees on the train???
so niways, we were able to get there as a class and enjoyed the journey.....
we are going to languna international for cub&resort and vivo for travel&leisure field trips coming tuesday...wooo!!!
and also i really love having fifi as my friend, with her i can talk about minho, i can fight for minho, we share how much we love minho, and we both have one whole folder in our phones filled with minho's pics!!
hias....i really dun wanna change class anymore, everytime i go into a new class, this fear of 'will i find friends as good as my last sem friends?' is really frustrating.....
i think this group i have now is perfect, i dun wanna change again anymore, i'm exhausted of making new friends and smiling at every1 when you walk from entrance to the end of the school.
and plus u cnt gossip! every1 is a friend of every1......hehehe
